Karin is a registered nurse with sound foundational knowledge of vaccines, vaccine-preventable diseases, and vaccination, and science communication skills. She has been involved in immunisation-related communication for more than 10 years. Human Vaccinology was one of the papers towards gaining her Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Health. 

Karin was a member of the Brighton Collaboration Digital Innovations for Vaccine Safety (DIVaS) work group. She also worked as a Medical Writer with the Brighton Collaboration Safety Platform for Emergency vACcines (SPEAC) project to develop communications around COVID-19 vaccine safety in 2021.
